back in town

well i am back home to the city and the city life. i can't say that i missed it all that much. i have spent the last 8 days up the coast camping and visiting with friends. oh how great it is to get away from the normalcy of life and the everyday mundane routine that i find myself partaking in, on a day in day out basis. i met up with my friends erin and greg jones in coffs harbour for a few days of reuniting fun and surf. erin and i then conitnued north towards new and unchartered territory for me. we camped at a place called diggers camp. it was a remote and secluded national park on the NSW coast. it was fantastic. we were virtually camping alone, less the one other couple that acknowledged us on our arrival and our departure. we suspect them of having made a home pornography video. although we have no proof- it is on their camera. other than that, no one. we surfed, spearfished, and played chess for three days. it was wonderful. but yes, it had to come to an end. so it was sad to pack up the car and turn around heading south once more. although, we spent another two days in coffs harbour, and then drove south towards sydney once again. our hearts a little sad that the reality of a return to work and the big smoke lay in the immediate future. we stopped just out of kempsey and ate out pies, from freddo's pie shack (a must stop for anybody passing through). they had the greatest selection of pies i have ever seen. i had the pepper steak and the rabbit and vegies. yum. then it was off to avoca beach for a few nights of sleep and more nonsense. not much in the way of surf there, but i still managed to paddle out and catch a few waves. now it is monday morning and i am back in sydney, attempting to catch up on things and organize and plan my life. i am so far up to the challenge. but know that i am easily distracted. the pile of laundry is forboding. somehow, i know i will manage.
