moan or wail
where do i start? today, was another long day spent at the hospital. once again we were back at mona vale hospital in regards to cherry's abdominal pain post surgery of 3 weeks ago. she had already been back once due to the excruciating agony from the pain, which was highly unusual at the time. so after 3 weeks of constant bleeding and discomfort, we decide to go back this morning, first thing.
when we arrived, we were the only ones in the emergency ward. we were rapidly put into a private exam room and blood was taken. it looked to be a good sign. how wrong could that have been?
the treating doctor, ended up being the biggest fucking cunt bitch, i have ever encountered in a hospital. i have had enough experience working in hospitals, as well as having the unfortunate experience as a patient, to meet many hospital employees over the past few years in australia. this woman was the worst! she was totally rude, uninterested, non-communicative, and the least caring person we encountered all day. even the guy mopping the floors at 8am was more pleasant and had a smile. after waiting in the same tiny room for 4 1/2 hours, i went looking in the halls for the doctor. by this time, cherry was doubled up in pain. "what's happening? my wife is in increasing abdominal pain? can you please help?" this is what i asked her. her response was a scowl and "i'll be right there." five minutes later she walks in and tells us, "there is nothing wrong." we both knew this to not be the case. i had to question her about the results from the blood taken many hours before. she would not openly share this information, but finally did (with obvious dissatisfaction). we demanded an ultra-sound.
almost an hour later, we were in the radiology department getting an ultra-sound. the radiologist was a bit taken aback, because the results from the scan showed, that the doctors had left some tissue in my wife's uterus, after the previous operation 3 weeks earlier. we pressed him for an explanation. he side stepped saying that was for the doctor to explain. we told him of our earlier experience. he was shocked. later, i saw him discussing the matter with the same doctor. doctor bitch, was looking a bit worried, as she had obviously misdiagnosed, and about 20 minutes later could not kiss ass enough, as she tried to make stabbing attempts to be extremely cordial. we were not fooled.
within another 30 minutes, nurses and other hospital staff were running around with paper work, beds, blankets, gowns, everything, and cherry was off to theatre for a repeat performance of three weeks ago. this was not the desired outcome, but a necessary procedure.
tonight, we are home recovering. it has been a long and exhausting day for us both, but truly, i had the easy role in all this. we walked into the hospital at 8am, and did not leave until 5:30pm.
