The Word B

if you haven't heard, maybe you've had your head buried in the sand, australia is blowing up. over the weekend was the beginning to major race riots in australia. the parties involved- ignorant white anglos vs. stupid lebanese (and pretty much all invovled were born in australia). i am not sure the cause of the issue, but from what i can gather, there has been a long on-going feud over territory at the beaches in cronulla, and most likely a lot of hurt feelings and misunderstanding. the typical precursors to fights and war.
the whole situation is ugly. the entire riot over the weekend was a booze induced frenzy. to make matters worse is the valiant prime minister still denies that australia is a racist country. despite the fact that it has been his policy of; going to war against iraq, keeping troops in iraq, incarcerating refugee people from islamic countries for years, deporting the bakhtiari family, stealing away civil liberties of all australians, and generally stirring up bullshit commentary about the threat of a so called islamic jihad in australia. really little johnny, it is you who have your head buried, but it is not so much buried in the sand, as it is buried up your own ass!
so is it a surprise to anyone, that a country who's leader continually spews forth racist rhetoric and emplements racist policies, hosts a population with similar ignorant feelings actions? now sydney, like france a few weeks ago, or isreal and palastine on a daily basis, this ugly behavior is perpetuated by morons. the fire is continually fanned by slanted media, more interested in creating news buzz, rather than promoting civility. the result being a whole bunch of people getting hurt, and the rest of the world having to contend with more inbred and indoctrinated hatered. these wounds take a long time to overcome and a long time to heal, but with love, and through communication in a peaceful fashion, humanity can still overcome the barbaric ideologies of the few mental midgets who are continually trying to keep the masses stirred up and disjointed. truly, this is what the policy makers are most afraid of- the people united!
