the amazing human body or what happened to your epidermis?

sunday. went to see the exhibit on the human body this afternoon. how fantastic! i was blown away by the sight of all this real life cadavers on display after under going a process called plastination, which preserves the body and all of its organs. there was so many curious and interesting aspects of the body on display. nothing was left to mystery. it was truly amazing.
currently the exhibition is on at the sydney olympic park for another week, then who knows where it goes. check out the link for more info, the amazing human body. the exhibition is touring the world. it is a must see when it comes to town, in a city near you.
i walked aroung for several hours and was 100 percent fascinated by everything. i would easily go again, if i had time. but i recommend it to any and everyone, and especially to any one who has the slightest interest in the human body. perhaps, it is not for the extremely squeemish, but it is a must see for all people of all ages. as i walked around i kept imagining how wonderful it would be to use this sort of thing in conjuction with an anatomy and physiology course. the possibilities are limitless on the educational front.
the comical aspect of the entire event is to sit outside and view the faces of people who are walking out, having just seen the exhibit. most people were very subdued and extremely quiet. it made me laugh anyhow. it also makes me realize how out of tune most people are with the fact that they too are human. flesh and bone. it is true.
